College-Aged Americans Trusting Nonprofits More and More During Pandemic

 

The majority of college-aged Americans say they trust nonprofits to “do what is right” during the coronavirus pandemic, according to a 24-hour online survey conducted by the Cause and Social Influence initiative. While 57% of those young Americans say they’d trust their local government “a lot” or “some,” only 49% were in favor of trusting the federal government to do the same.

The online survey was up for 24 hours on March 20-21, 2020 receiving 1,100 responses from the nationally representative group of college-aged Americans.

A press release detailing the six Key Findings from the survey was released March 25, 2020 showing a promising outlook for nonprofits amidst the pandemic to raise awareness and collect donations to further their organizations and cause. These young Americans are ready to listen.
